Welcome to LAke Luzerne, formerly the Town of Fairfield, also know as " The Jewel of the Adirondacks". Established in 1792 the small town is in southern Warren County, in upstate New York's southern Adirondack Mountains just south of Lake George village.
The town is known for its Adirondack Folk School, with classes designed to keep the arts, crafts and culture of the Adirondacks alive. It's also know for the Lake Luzerne Chamber Music Festival where artista such as classical guitarist Joel Brown, Violinist Raymond Gniewek, Jazz greats Chris and Dave Brubreck and the Philadelphia Orchestra erform during the summer months. Every year, Children from across the world compete to participate in music camps at the Lake Luzerne Music Center, where free concerts are offered to the public.
North of the bridge across the Hudson River to Hadley is the most narrow point of the entire Hudson River, Rockwell Falls. Just south of here is where the Sacandaga River meets the Hudson. For outdoor excitement there is rafting trips daily on the Sacandaga, but if you're looking for a lazy tube ridedown the Hudson River we have that as well.
LAke Luzerne is a small town which thrives in the summer months due to downstate residents with their summer homes and cabins. There are several campgrounds along with hotels, cabins and our very own Bed and Breakfast which was voted #1 as New York's most romantic Inn.
Lake Luzerne has a lot to offer, come give this beautiful area a visit.
